How we review

Every operator on Pinoy Slot Guide goes through the same review, in the same order, and ends with a score out of 10 that you can trace back to its parts. This page explains that process: what we check at each stage, where each fact comes from, how the score is calculated, and what a score does and does not tell you.

Our review philosophy

A casino review should help you decide where your pesos are safest to go, not repeat an operator’s marketing. So we start with the one fact that can be checked independently, the regulator’s record, and build outwards from there. We weigh evidence by where it comes from: a PAGCOR listing counts for more than an operator’s own claim, and an operator’s published terms count for more than a banner. When sources disagree, we say so.

Our step-by-step review process

1. Match the exact domainWe look up the brand in PAGCOR Guarantee and in the dated brand and domain lists on PAGCOR’s Electronic Gaming Licensing Department page. If the full address does not appear, the review stops there.
2. Identify the licence categoryOnline brand of a licensed casino, or brand of an accredited Gaming System Administrator, and which game types the record covers.
3. Collect the published termsRegistration, verification, bonus, payment and account rules, from the operator’s own pages, with the date we saw them.
4. Cross-check what players reportWhere operators restrict their sites to users in the Philippines, we also record what their promotion pages show in local search results and what named Philippine comparison sites report, always marked as such.
5. Score and writeWe apply the five criteria below, write the review and date it. Time-sensitive facts are rechecked before every update.

Registration and verification

We look at what the operator asks for before you can play and before you can withdraw: age confirmation (21+), government ID, selfie or video checks, and whether verification is required before a bonus is credited. Sites that tie small bonuses to completed verification, as several listed operators now do, score well for clarity, because the player knows up front what will be asked.

Deposits and withdrawals

We record which methods the operator shows for deposits and, separately, for withdrawals; minimum and maximum amounts; fees; processing hours; and what verification a withdrawal needs. We give no credit for credit cards or cryptocurrency, which PAGCOR has prohibited for betting. For e-wallets, we also take into account the wallet’s own limits, such as the ₱5,000 monthly incoming limit on a Basic GCash profile.

Bonuses and promotions

A bonus is judged by its terms, not its size: eligibility, minimum deposit, wagering and what it applies to, game contribution, maximum bet, expiry and any cap on withdrawals. Where the terms are complete, a review may include a clearly labelled hypothetical peso example. We also check that rebates and cashback respect the limits PAGCOR set in May 2026.

Game selection and software

We compare the game types in the operator’s PAGCOR record (such as e-casino, e-bingo, sports betting, specialty or numeric games) with what its lobby promotes, and we check whether the studios it features appear in PAGCOR’s list of approved electronic games. A long list of games counts for less than a clear, licensed offering you can actually use.

User experience and design

We note whether key information is easy to find without logging in: the licence, the bonus terms, the payment rules and the responsible gaming page. Operators that hide terms behind registration lose points under transparency.

Security and licensing

The licence check is the heaviest criterion. A domain that appears in both PAGCOR Guarantee and a dated register earns full marks; one that appears in only one of them, or where PAGCOR’s own sources show different addresses for the same brand, earns less until the difference is resolved. Offshore licences from PAGCOR’s former framework, which PAGCOR cancelled effective 15 December 2024, and foreign licences earn nothing.

Customer support

We record the support channels an operator publishes (chat, email, phone, social media) and whether a complaint route is described in its terms. Response times are only reported from a documented contact.

Our scoring system

Each operator is scored on five criteria with fixed weights, the same for every brand, for a total out of 10:

Scores are shown as “editorial score” with the date of the review, for example 8.5/10. They come from a desk review of the sources above. Where a separate hands-on test has been carried out, with deposits, withdrawals and support contacts documented, the review says so explicitly and describes what was tested; a desk-review score never implies that.

Who reviews the casinos

Reviews are written and checked by our editor, Carlo Mendoza, following our editorial guidelines. Every review carries his name and the date it was last updated.

Updates and re-reviews

Domains, promotions, payment methods and limits change often. Each review is rechecked when we update the page, and at least every six months. We lower a score, or remove an operator altogether, when:

• its domain no longer appears in PAGCOR Guarantee or the current register;
• official sources about the brand or its domain conflict and cannot be resolved;
• its published terms change in a way that makes our description inaccurate;
• a documented test shows a process that does not work as the operator describes.
