Editorial guidelines

These are the rules every page on Pinoy Slot Guide is written and checked against. They sit alongside how we review, which covers the order of our checks and how a score is earned. In short: facts come from primary sources, every time-sensitive claim carries a date, nothing is presented as tested unless it was, and nothing on the site treats gambling as a way to make money.

Sources we rely on

For anything about licensing, we go to PAGCOR itself: the PAGCOR Guarantee directory and the dated registers published by its Electronic Gaming Licensing Department. For bonuses, limits and fees, the operator’s own terms and help pages. For game facts such as return to player (RTP), volatility or features, the game provider’s published information. News coverage, other review sites and social media posts can point us to a question, but they are never the source of a claim on this site.

When two official sources disagree, for example a register and the live directory showing different domains for the same brand, we say so, name both, and do not send readers to either address until the difference is resolved.

How claims are worded

We attribute every statement to where it comes from. “PAGCOR lists”, “the terms say” and “the cashier page shows” mean different things, and we keep them apart:

• A regulator listing is described as a listing, not as proof of fast payouts or fair terms.
• An operator’s claim about its own speed stays an operator claim until a dated test says otherwise.
• Numbers that change (bonus amounts, wagering, limits, fees, game counts) carry the date they were checked.
• A bonus calculation appears only when the complete terms are available, and it is labelled as a hypothetical example.
• RTP is explained as a theoretical long-run average, never as a forecast for a session.

We avoid words such as “safest”, “best” or “guaranteed” unless a dated, comparable method stands behind them, and in practice that means we rarely use them at all.

What we do not publish

• Invented experiences: accounts opened, deposits, withdrawals, support chats or winnings that did not happen and are not documented.
• Scores or “recommended” labels without a dated test in the relevant category.
• Links to domains that do not appear in PAGCOR’s current records, including look-alike and offshore addresses.
• Credit cards or cryptocurrency presented as ways to fund an account, since PAGCOR has prohibited both for betting.
• Messages that suggest gambling as income, a fix for debt or a way to win back losses, or content aimed at anyone under 21.
• Fake urgency: countdown timers, “only today” claims or scarcity we cannot verify.

Author, editing and dates

Guides are written and checked by our editor, Carlo Mendoza. The date at the top of each page shows when it was last updated, and an update means the time-sensitive facts on the page were checked again, not just that a word was changed. Pages written in the first person describe a test only when there is a separate, dated record of it with the amounts, screenshots and outcomes.

Commercial relationships

Some links on the site may earn us a commission. That relationship does not decide which sites we write about, what we say about them, or the order in which they appear, and a site that pays us is held to the same checks as one that does not. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If a fact on a page is wrong or out of date, we correct it and update the page date. Where a correction changes our description of an operator, for example because a domain has left PAGCOR’s records, the affected text is removed rather than left with a note underneath it.
